Background
Facebook is a social media website that was set up as a dorm room project back in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg, Chris Hughes, Eduardo Saverin and Dustin Moskovitz. It was originally called “thefacebook.com” but was later changed to just Facebook. The background behind Facebook has been controversial ever since Mark Zuckerberg launched the site from Harvard back in 2004. The controversy over Facebook began very soon after its launch. Mark was accused by other students of Harvard that he had stolen the idea off them. This was the start of a huge lawsuit that claimed Zuckerberg to be responsible for fraud and theft. In the end of the lawsuit, there was an agreed settlement for the defendants of 1.2 million facebook shares which was worth 300 million dollars at the time. Nowadays, the site has become one of the biggest websites in the world, visited by 400 million people a month
